About Dr.Deyn

My name is Natthakhet Yaemim, M.D., known as Dr. Deyn. I am a medical doctor, inventor, artist.
I am the founder and CEO of PULSE Social Enterprise, a pan-Asian network of lifestyle clinics and services in Thailand and internationally, and a research physician at Maastricht University, The Netherlands.
Almost a decade ago, I started PULSE to promote and provides excellence in medical care and education in lifestyles medicine, normalizing sexual wellbeing, stigma-free HIV prevention and treatment for HIV and co-infections, and actively engaging in the formulation of public health policy for thailand and other countries as well as digital transformation for healthcare providers globally. I’m responsible for the leadership, management and operations of PULSE Clinic International, PULSE Tech and Innovation and PULSE Gallery. Due to my work, I am currently living in Paris, Amsterdam and Bangkok.
My passion for being an artist started when I was very young and has always been as strong as that for being a medical doctor. I find beauty in the human body and life in general. In kindergarten, I used to live near Art and Craft College Nakhon Si Thammarat, passing through the college every day I was inspired by the sculptures of Bodhisattva, apsara and David, revealing of the natural beauty. Maleehuana, a famous Thai folk band, and other famous alumni, drew national attention, and large crowds, to exhibitions, providing me further engagement and exposure to art as a young boy and teenager.
As an infant, my father would hold my hand and teach me how to draw animals such as fish and horses, and to use a paint brush. With my mother being a nurse, I grew up in hospital dreaming of being a doctor, I studied human body and human anatomy in library medical texts and encyclopedias, a perfect way to appreciate the beauty of the human form and of the artists representation of the human body. At 14 I learned drawings and water color painting at 18. Working in a variety of mediums and with an innate sense of the palette, I use shape, form and color to reflect my mental formation and sometimes I paint as my visual diary keeping my memories alive especially those memories from when I was just a child.
I started my art career by being featured in group exhibitions,
- “Sex and Spirituality” in Vienna, May 2022
- “Chroma – Exhibition Celebrating life, light and colors” Bangkok, July-August 2022
- “KinkyBKK” Bangkok, September-October 2022
- Mango Art Festival in 2022 curated by Myrtille Tibayrenc
Solo exhibition
“Now Calling ...” November 2022 – February 2023, Bamgkok
Held at ASS (Art Space Silom), part of Bangkok Galleries Night 2022 by the French Embassy. The exhibition featured acrylic and mixed media on paper, board, and canvas, completed while I traveled through South America, Europe and Asia in 2022. When the world gets in trouble, the world outside or our inside world turns upside down, or when there's no-one else around and we find ourselves alone, we listen to the call inside our heart, deep down in our soul. Doing this we can allow ourself to connect with our inner world, make peace with oneself, and follow our dreams and passions. When someone wants to connect with us, calling rather than texting, creates a more meaningful experience. We know we are wanted, and missed, and that the caller truly cares, giving us their time and attention. The sound of our voice, even without the visual cues, allows for deeper bonding. Auditorial communication creates a significantly stronger connection.” So, “Now Calling ...”. (The South American Collection was sold out)

Recently I have been invited to participate and donate in the annual amfAR art auctions which are held annually in global locations with the headline event in Cannes during the annual Cannes Film Festival and additional auctions in Venice, Macau, New York and various USA cities. Proceeds are used specifically for HIV research. I was invited to the amfAR GALA in Cannes, May 2023 and Venice September 2023. In Cannes I was introduced to members of the global art community and gained perspective on the type of work to produce to contribute to future auctions.
